At the Close of the year, I had a severe cold & an
Attack from the Rheumatism. Rheumatisms & Rum-matisms
are the two Endemial Diseases of Halifax. The Night between
the two years was spent in extreme Pain: but without any Mix-
-ture of my nephritic Complaints, which I have as yet had no
symptom of, since my constantly taking Blackberry Jelly. It
is now Jan. 11th. I am now well, & all my Family: & we unite
in Duty to our venerable Parent, & the most affectionate Re-
gards to you.
M. Byles
