Cure from
Mr Glennie

Dissolve about two ounces of the Mineral Alkali in about
a quart of Water_ Take a wine glassful of the solution
four or five times [...] in twenty four hours_. The Alkali
substance forms a mild compound with the redundant
phosphoric acid in the habit, which is carried off by the
Ordinary Evacuations, removing thereby insensibly the
pain of the Gout or Rheumatism in a few days.
