Rx  [untranscribed Latin]

  Syrup Liquiritia

Take of the Juice of Liquorice
dissolve in as little Water
as may be after Dissolution
evaporate to the Thickness
of a Syrup then add of
Brandy [...]i of honey [...]
mix them well together 
warm and set the whole
on fire and let it burn
as long as it will with
the Assistance of gentle
stirring... keep for Use
