Mr. Corpe's Receipt to Mrs. Kirkman

M^r: Corpes receipt to M^rs. Kirkman.

Take of the best red Roses the
buds    half an once put them into
a Mug that will hold a pint
pour over them boiling water then
stir in two Tea spoonfuls of diluted
Vitriolic acid, let it stand until
almost Cold then strain off the
clear Liquor & add ½ an once of
Lump sugar & 3 spoonfuls of
best Brandy Cork it up &
take 3 tea cups a day.
