To six quarts of rain or River
water put on pound & a half of fresh
blue galls of Aleppo bruised pretty
small, eight ounces of clean hard
green copperas, eight ounces of
clear gum arabic & two ounces
of rock allum: let the whole stand
together in a large stone Bottle,

thoroughly once or twice a day,
till the tincture be sufficiently
strong, then let it settle, and
after some days decant it for
