Antiseptic purgative drink
Recipe: 3 ounces decoction of Peruvian bark
Dissolve ½ ounce of Glauber’s salts.
Diaphoretic [Sweating] Drink
Recipe: 1 ½ ounces of spirit of Minderer
Peruvian Bark drink
Recipe: 2 ounces decoction of Peruvian bark, 2 scruples of powdered Peruvian bark, ½ dram of cordial confection, 30 drops of composite spirit of lavender. Mix, make a drink to be taken every sixth hour.
Recipe: 6 drams of ipecac wine, 2 grains of tartar emetic, 1 ounce of spring water, ½ ounce of white syrup. Mix.
