How to destroy MITES and WEEVILS.
Let the walls and rafters above and below of such gran-
aries as are infested, be covered completely with quick
lime, slacked in water, in which tresoil, worm-wood, and
hyssop have been boiled. This composition should be
applied as hot as possible. A farmer, who had the gran-
aries empty, collected quantities of the largest sized
ants in sacks, and scattered them about the place infested
with weevils. The ants immediately fell upon and de-
voured them all.
