Of restoring a drowned person
Which is related as follows [&ir], a Child of 3 ½
years old. Son of ^oneMeyor, fell into the water wa[s]
carried 200 paces, He when taken up had no
respiration, no pulse beat, his head and hands
Swelled, his Eyes Closed, is Lips Livid, his body cold
and for ¾ of an hour Appear’d to be dead,
but he being Laid on beds of ashes impregnated
with Salt & frictions &c, and being rubbed with
hot Cloaths about 15 Minutes he made a Motion
with his mouth in about 15 minutes more rubbing
he breathed, his pulse beat, and he recovered
his Senses, &c this in AD 1765,
