Rx: Lac Saturni. Gr. xij: solve in
Aq. Fontane ℥viij: adde pro re nata
Tinct: Thebaic ʒi. vel Sp’us. Vin:
Rectificat ʒiss:

            Collyrium e Vitriolo.
Rx Aq. Fontan: ℥xij: Vitriol: Alb: Gr. xij.

Translation

            Eyesalve
Recipe: 12 grains of Milk of Saturn,  1Lead spirits dissolve in 8 ounces of spring water. Add as needed 1 dram of Thebaic Tincture  2Egyptian Opium or 1½ drams Rectified Spirit of Wine.

            Eyesalve of Vitriol
Recipe: 12 ounce of spring water, 12 grains of white vitriol. Mix.

Cordial Confection. Pharmacopoeia Londinensis.
