                Receipt for Gingerbread

7 lb of Flour

2 {. . .} of Sugar

1 1/2 lb of Butter

1 oz of Caraway Seeds

1/4 oz of Pearl Ash

1 pint of Milk

  Rub the Butter first in the flour fine

Melt the sugar in the milk

Then mix them all with Seeds & pearl Ash
