Rx Infus. Rose ℥iss  1Apparently an acid infusion of rose petals, made with sulphuric acid, sugar and boiling water, employed for stomatitis and pharyngitis, https://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/r/roses-18.html. An 1892 issue of The Times and Register. A Weekly Journal of Medicine and Surgery, mentions this treatment for scarlet fever in a 4 year old boy: “Sulphuric acid was given in form of infusio rosae compositus...” https://books.google.ca/books?id=QlrpT0fq8i8C&pg=PA276&lpg=PA276&dq=%22infusio+rosae%22&source=bl&ots=1BsBq3aeou&sig=ACfU3U39Rw1QBeeEu7mMPSZgkTFdNlvBMQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjHw4WunajwAhUhAp0JHXBADQwQ6AEwAHoECAIQAw#v=onepage&q=%22infusio%20rosae%22&f=false.
Sulp. Maj nis.  2Probably error for Sulp. Magnes., i.e. Sulphuricum Magnesium, epsom salts, often called Magnesium Sulpuricum or Magnesia Sulphurica, now Magnesium Sulfide.
